Vietnam 50th Anniversary Small Lockback Knife – U.S. Army
A half-century ago, the United States Army valiantly entered the struggle to prevent communist aggression and liberate the people of South Vietnam.
If the United States Army had not intervened directly when it did, the Republic of Vietnam would have fallen to the communist advances. From the month-long battle of Ia Drang to the defense of Firebase Prek Klok, U.S. soldiers time and time again proved their mettle in impossible circumstances turning certain defeat into heroic victory.
These heroes, though callously disregarded in their time by some, were bound together by a common enemy, fate, topography, and politics. Now, inspired by The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, those who belong to this elite club called Vietnam Veterans can carry this meticulously crafted knife as a firm reminder of your proud service to your country.
Made in the USA – of course! – by the official makers of military medals and insignia, the 50th Anniversary Small Lockback Knife is a thank you to the soldiers who put their lives at risk on America’s behalf. Featuring a single, stainless steel blade that clicks audibly into place when opened, it contains a durable, die-struck handle accented with intricate design. The front features a fully enameled replica of the Vietnam Service Medal ribbon with an American eagle surrounding the words “service, valor, sacrifice,” and the ordinal “50th” and the legend, “Vietnam War” completing the design. The reverse contains the seal of the Department of the Army opposite the U.S. Army emblem.
Struck in bronze, the knife handle is coated with an antique nickel finish creating a classic look.
